Adam's Comments:
Alex is a big comic book geek, and while he's pretty badass without super-powers I don't think he'd mind having a couple. Probably a big disappointment to go from his powerless body to another, also-powerless body. Maybe if he was in the body of a Kryptonian or Amazon he wouldn't've minded so much.

You're not going to find out what Candice's super-power is for a while, though.

God, the text looks bad on this. If you're ever curious why that is, I do the text in Manga Studio, then when I turn the images into a PNG, they don't always translate very smoothly and come out weird like this. In later comics I start to use a larger font size so the translation works slightly better.

Martin's Comments:
One thing I find kind of funny is that for all of the beta elements of WaR that have changed over the years of planning this, the powerless thing has always pretty much stuck.

I guess since having an ordinary badass able to go head-on against people who should by all accounts be better than he is is always a fun dynamic so long as you don't overdo it by, like, having Robin beat down Darkseid or something.

Adam's Comments:
Actually, given how much Darkseid jobbers to every hero in the DCU to make them look tough, that's probably happened. I know he jobbed to Young Justice once.
